DNA Fragments Labeled with Fluorescent Dyes for Use with PowerPlex® Systems

Use of Matrix Standards

Proper generation of a spectral calibration file is critical to evaluate multicolor systems. Once generated, the spectral calibration file is applied during sample detection to calculate and compensate for spectral overlap between different fluorescent dye colors.

PowerPlex® 4C Matrix Standards

The PowerPlex® Matrix Standards, 310, and 4C Matrix Standard* allow the following systems to be analyzed on the ABI PRISM® 310 Genetic Analyzer or ABI PRISM® 377 DNA Sequencer (Cat.# DG4640) and the ABI PRISM® 3100 and 3100-Avant or Applied Biosystems® 3130, 3130xl, 3500 and 3500xL Genetic Analyzers (Cat.# DG4800):

  • PowerPlex® 16
  • PowerPlex® 16 HS
  • PowerPlex® S5
  • PowerPlex® CS7
  • PowerPlex® 16 and ES Monoplex 
  • MSI Analysis 
  • GenePrint® 10 

The PowerPlex® 4-Dye Matrix Standards contain matrix fragments labeled with four fluorescent dyes: Fluorescein, JOE, TMR and CXR. 

*The PowerPlex® 4C Matrix Standard (Cat.# DG4800) replaces PowerPlex® Matrix Standards, 3100/3130 (Cat.# DG4650).
